Cyber Security (Cyber Security Information Technology Institute)
Description: In this course, students will learn fundamental cyber security topics including computer repair, the basics of cryptography, software security, networking fundamentals, and basic system administration and investigate the fields of cyber security. The course is designed to address the fundamental implications of technology, the history of securing information and the relationship to the evolution of technology, and the need to securely transmit and store information. This is not a “hacking” class, but we do include the ways computers, programs, networks, and people are exploited by hackers, and what we do to prevent or minimize the damage caused by bad actors.
